Getting Around the Island, By Rail
The one thing I'd bring
Affordable, local AI and compute infrastructure.
Where I've seen it work
Not specified
How it would help local companies and entrepreneurs
Startups could train and run AI models without paying heavily for foreign cloud providers, keep data local, and compete on AI products from Cagliari.
What we'd need to make it happen
A shared GPU cluster or regional data center, possibly building on existing research assets like CRS4 or the University of Cagliari, subsidized access schemes for startups, and energy partnerships, ideally with renewables.
