International ecosystems for innovation and entrepreneurship in Cagliari (ITA)

Entrepreneurs Meet Cagliari (EMC) is an independent, non-profit community founded in October 2023 by four friends, dedicated to fostering the growth of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cagliari and across Sardinia. It brings together entrepreneurs, professionals, and innovators to share experiences, resources, and opportunities in an inclusive environment.

The community has grown to nearly 200 members in just over a year, with roughly 4 in 10 being women, and includes participants from across Italy and abroad. Its two guiding values are Empowerment Through Community — the belief that innovation emerges from connections between people who share knowledge and resources — and Collaboration Over Competition, the conviction that entrepreneurial ecosystems thrive through cooperation and strategic networking rather than rivalry.

EMC holds monthly meetups on the last Thursday of each month, spotlighting local businesses, sharing the stories of its hosts, and showcasing members' experiences. While its focus is on Sardinia, the community has a global outlook, so meetings are conducted in English. To date, it has organized 15 events across more than 13 different locations, featuring interviews with influential figures from the Cagliari ecosystem and notable international entrepreneurs, and has supported 18+ companies while putting 21 experts in the spotlight.
